Pharos Sales App: iPad Specs

iOS & App Versions:

• The iPad should be updated to the iOS version approved by your showroom manager. The Spotlight software is compatible with the current iOS version and one major version earlier, but the latest iOS version approved by your showroom manager needs to be used. To find software version installed on your device, go to Settings > General, then tap About.

⚠The Sales App currently requires a minimum of iOS version 15.7.0 installed on your iPad to function correctly⚠

• The iPad should also be updated to the latest version of the Pharos Sales App in order to utilize the newest features and functionality. To ensure automated updates are turned on for your device, go to Settings > App Store > Automatic Downloads

⚠All users should be on version 11.4.0 of the Pharos Sales App⚠

iPad Models:

⚠The Pharos Sales App will work on any of the models below, but iPad Pro is highly recommended and the only iPad that is fully supported⚠

Minimum iPad Requirements:

• Operating System: iPad OS (15.7.0)
• Storage: Minimum 256 GB

iPad Models (in descending performance order):

• BEST/FASTEST
  • iPad Pro 12.9-in. (5th generation)  
  • iPad Pro (3rd generation, 12.9” & 11”)*
  • IMC_di recommends 512GB or 1T
• BETTER/SLOW
  • iPad Mini (5th generation) - 2 times slower than iPad Pro 3rd generation
  • iPad Air (3rd Generation) - 2 times slower than iPad Pro 3rd generation
  • iPad Pro 2nd generation (12.9 inch & 10.5 inch) - 2 times slower than iPad Pro 3rd gen
• GOOD/SLOWEST
  • iPad Pro 1st generation (12.9 inch & 9.7 inch) - 3 times slower than iPad Pro 3rd gen

Selection Guidelines:

• Size matters – when selling products and viewing catalogs, the larger the screen, the better the presentation
• Faster is better – customer time and attention is limited
• Poor presentation of products, catalogs, and slow order taking results in customer frustration and reduced or lost sales
