MarketTime's required import format is very similar to Brandwise's, so this article is intended to assist you in using the files you may receive from Manufacturers in their Transit-ready format for import into MarketTime.
Beginning with the file itself, the Product Status column needs to be updated a bit to ensure that product status is accounted for accurately when importing into MarketTime.
In the example below, there are a few different statuses:
MarketTime manages product status a little differently, and rather than a single column, you will need to separate the Discontinued item statuses into their own column.
The video below covers how to do this, as well as update the Product Status column to adhere to MarketTime's requirements:
Once these columns have been updated, you may follow the product import process shown in the guide linked below depending on your account type:
Importing Products as a Sales Agency
Importing Products as a Manufacturer
When mapping the columns during the import process, you can map the Brandwise columns to their MarketTime counterparts. Some of the key fields are pre-mapped, but there are a couple that need to be manually mapped. Below is an example of a file successfully mapped for product import:
NOTE: Do not map any category-related columns during this process. There is a separate process for importing product categories.
