For Manufacturers you manage, you can update the accepted Payment and Shipping Terms that are available when writing orders or when your Retailers place orders on your B2B Website.
NOTE: This article is intended for Sales Agencies that manage Manufacturer accounts themselves, not accounts managed solely by the Manufacturer themselves.
For more information about setting default Payment/Shipping Terms for a customer, see the Manufacturers section of THIS ARTICLE.
To manage a Manufacturer's terms, navigate to the Manufacturers screen and select the desired Manufacturer.
Within each Manufacturer is an Order Settings tab.
Collect More Info Toggles
While managing both Payment and Shipping terms, there is a checkbox that can be toggled for certain terms such as See Special Instructions, Bestway, and more.
NOTE: Some terms require the toggle enabled, and can't be changed. This applies to all Credit Card types and mtCharge terms.
The Collect Credit Card Info? and Collect More Info? toggles next to each respective term determine whether or not additional information is required when choosing the term in question.
For example, if Collect Credit Card Info? is toggled ON for a Payment Term such as See Special Instructions, when a user attempts to select that term, an additional popup will appear to capture credit card information.
The same is the case when choosing a Payment Term with the Collect More Info? toggle is turned ON; you will be asked to enter a shipping account if it's enabled.
Generally, MarketTime recommends only toggling these options on for terms that would require this extra information. Terms such as See Special Instructions and BESTWAY typically wouldn't have these options toggled as it's meant to either reference the order's Special Instructions field, or for the Manufacturer to manage the shipping, but this may differ depending on your Manufacturer's requirements.
