The information below should be used as guidance for communicating with your customers before, during, and after your company transitions to MarketTime. Feel free to personalize as needed.
Customer Outreach Plan
Step 1 (Before or Day 1/2 of Transition): Click HERE for a sample email to use with your retailers announcing your new MarketTime B2B site.
Step 2: Work on the setup of your site during your transition.
Step 3: (Transition Go Live Date or Post Transition) Before your new site's launch, send your retailers the appropriate communication below.
Your Implementation Specialist can provide you with a list of your retailers and whether or not they have an existing MarketTime B2B login. This will help you determine which of the below emails your retailer should be sent.
Emails Options if Your MarketTime Site is Ready at Your Transition Go Live Date:
Option 1 (Retailers who do not already have a MarketTime B2B login)
Invite your retailers directly from the 'SEND LINK' button in the Customers tab in your MarketTime account. This sends an email to the retailers you select and asks them to confirm their information and create a login for their online buying account. Detailed information, including the retailer's email, can be found HERE. Note: if there is an 'eyeball' icon rather than a 'pencil' icon to the right in a retailer/customer's row, they already have control of their account and access to your B2B site. You can only send invites via the 'SEND LINK' button to retailers with a 'pencil' icon.
Option 2 (Retailers who already shop on MarketTime B2B sites and already have a login)
If the retailer already shops on other MarketTime B2B sites, they can use their existing login to shop on your site as well. Please use the email template found HERE to provide the retailer with instructions for connecting to your site. You will need to copy/paste your site's new URL into the communication.

Emails Options if Your MarketTime Site is NOT Ready at Your Transition Go Live Date:
Option 1 (Retailers who do not already have a MarketTime B2B login)
Click HERE for an email template to use with retailers announcing your new site. You will need to provide an approximate 'go live' date for your site. Once your site is ready, follow the instructions in the section above for Option 1 retailers to invite them to create a login for your site.
Option 2 (Retailers who already shop on MarketTime B2B sites and already have a login)
If the retailer already shops on other MarketTime B2B sites, use the email template HERE instead. Once your site is ready, follow the instructions in the section above for Option 2 retailers to invite them to use their existing login information for your site as well.

Regarding Customers with Existing Accounts: You will likely have customers who sign in with their existing accounts and request approval via your B2B that you already have records for in your Agency account's customer list. If this happens, you will need to merge the new, self-managed Customer record that appears upon their approval to your B2B site with the record that existed prior to their approval.

Pro Tip: Duplicate accounts can be avoided by inviting your retailers using the 'SEND LINK' button in the Customer tab. This prompts them to create a login rather than re-entering all of their account information. This requires they don't already have a MarketTime account/have shopped on someone else's MarketTime B2B site before.
