MarketTime strives to support the integrity of your data and consistent, quality use of our products. To enable this, we've introduced some "guardrails" to ensure a great experience, which requires that each unique user account be paired with a single, unique device (iPad).
At this time, mtPro will notify a user accessing the app if they fall under one or more of the following scenarios:
| Message Displayed | Explanation | Where this may Appear |
|
DeviceID does not match the assigned device |
The user that is currently logged in is not the user associated with this iPad according to MarketTime |
|
|
Multiple Records found using this DeviceID and RepGroupID |
This iPad is currently associated with more than one user within your Sales Agency |
|
What to Do
If a user sees the "DeviceID does not match the assigned device!" message and the user is correctly assigned to the device in question, follow the steps below:
- As an Admin, navigate to the MarketTime Pro screen and locate the license in question
- Click the Reset Device icon to reset the device associated with this user
- Have the mtPro user log out of the app or force close it (pull up open apps and "swipe" it away)
- Reopen mtPro
- Perform a Sync
This results in the iPad associated with the user being refreshed, ensuring it matches the actual device the user is logged in on.
If a user sees the "DeviceID does not match the assigned device!" message and the user is NOT correctly assigned to the device in question, follow the steps below:
This may occur when multiple users are sharing the same device (logging in and out), or if a user is using a device that was previously used but not had the mtPro license cleared.
- Ensure all data has been posted to the cloud (navigate to Sync menu, tap Send Data)
- Delete the mtPro app off the iPad in question
-
Assign the correct user account to a new mtPro license
- In the event a new user account is needed, create a new MarketTime User
- In the event a new mtPro license is needed, request additional mtPro licenses as needed.
- Once the new license(s) have been assigned to the new user(s), mtPro may be re-installed
- mtPro may now be used
This results in unique licenses per user (as the system requires), requiring separate iPads for each user.
If a user sees the "Multiple Records found using this DeviceID and RepGroupID" message, follow the steps below:
This message may occur when a user has logged into a device that is still associated with another user and the device has not been cleared from the other user.
- As an Admin, navigate to the MarketTime Pro screen and search for the Username of the user in question
- Note the DeviceID of that user
- On the same screen, use the search bar to search for that DeviceID
- For the license that is not assigned to the user in question, click the Reset Device icon to clear the license from the unwanted user.
- Have the mtPro user tap "try again", or force close it (pull up open apps and "swipe" it away)
- mtPro may now be used
This will result in "clearing" the license from the unwanted user, freeing it for use on the user in question.
