In many cases, NetSuite users utilize automated payment collection to more efficiently run their business.
The mtCharge+ integration offers a few ways to take advantage of this behavior.
Configuration
During the configuration of the mtCharge+ integration, there are settings related to auto-capture that are relevant.
The first is found under the Manufacturer Configuration, in the Automation section. Here you will determine if you will auto-capture based on Pre-Authorizations or perform the collection immediately based on a customer's default card.
If collecting based on Pre-Authorizations, the environment must be configured to capture on a regular cadence using the Auto Job Run Hour (0-23 UTC) setting.
Auto-Capture
The Auto-Capture feature relies on Pre-Authorizations and Terms set for your customers.
NOTE: Auto-Capture is not retroactive. If the customer did not have Terms at the time of Pre-Authorization, the record will not be enrolled in Auto-Capture.
Auto-Capture on Cash Sales
The example process below outlines the use of Auto-Capture on a Cash Sale record.
- A Customer is set with Terms within NetSuite (default NetSuite feature).
- A Sales Order is created, and a Pre-Authorization is created.
- This can be done with a card that was attached to an order (e.g. originating from MarketTime), a card from the customer's Saved Cards, or manually entering a new card in.

- Upon successful creation and saving of the Cash Sale, a banner will appear at the top of the record indicating it will be charged momentarily.

Run Auto-Capture for All Pending Records
In the event Auto-Capture needs to be run at will, rather than awaiting the Due Date or next run, the Run Auto-Capture Now button in the mtCharge+ environmental configuration (Setup > MarketTime mtCharge+ > mtCharge+ Configuration > Click environment) will allow you to do so:
All related transaction information can be see within the mtCharge+ Payments tab of a given record (Cash Sales, Invoices, Sales Orders, etc.).
Auto-Pay
The Auto-Pay feature allows you to create an Invoice or Cash Sale and immediately charge the customer's default card, shortening the manual steps needed to capture payment.
