Overview
Rep Groups can now control which user roles are allowed to transmit orders on a per-manufacturer basis. The new Allow Order Transmission setting (found under each manufacturer's Advanced tab) lets you restrict order transmission to Admins only, while still allowing sales reps to create and manage orders.
Steps to Configure
- Navigate to Manufacturer > Advanced on the Rep Group's account.
- Locate the Allow Order Transmission (1) setting.
- Choose one of the following options:
- All User Roles (default) — All authorized users can transmit orders to that manufacturer.
- Admin Only — Only Main Admins and Admins can transmit orders. Salesperson users can still create and manage orders but cannot transmit them.
- Click Save (2).
What Sales Reps Will See (Admin Only Mode)
When a Salesperson attempts to transmit an order for a manufacturer set to Admin Only:
- The manufacturer checkbox on the Send to Manufacturer page is disabled.
- The Mark as Sent button is unavailable.
- Hovering over the info icon shows: "You do not have permission to transmit this order to the manufacturer."
- They can still send the order to the customer and buyer.
Important Notes
- This setting does not override the existing user-level "Transmit Orders" Read-Only or Disable Access permissions. If a user has Disable Access enabled, they cannot transmit orders for any manufacturer regardless of this setting.
- The setting is only available on the manufacturer's Advanced settings page within the Rep Group.
- Main Admins and Admins can always transmit orders regardless of this setting.
