mtPro Price Code and Retailer Manufacturer Details Updates

What's new?

We’ve upgraded how retailer accounts syncs between the web app (apps.markettime.com) and mtPro. You can now enjoy faster order checkout, seamless management of retailer default payment and shipping details (including shipping account numbers), and better pricing accuracy across all items. The below enhancements are only available for users on iPadOS 17 or newer. Please consult Apple's Support Article for information on updating your iPad.

Price Code Improvements

Enhancement What It Adds
Default Price Code

  • Default Price Code is now visible on mtPro per shipping location.

  • The user with the edit customer permission can add or remove a default price code.

  • When a default price code is set for the customer at each shipping location, it is stamped on the item in the sales order for that location.

  • If the default price code is not set, the system will apply the unit price or the volume price, whichever applies.
Order Price Code Selection

  • Allows order writers to view, select, modify, or remove price codes for items.

  • The default price code is automatically assigned to the item on the sales order.

  • Other price codes added to an item in the web app are available for the order writer in mtPro.

  • The order writer can select one of the available price codes for that item.

  • The user can change the selected price code to another price code in the list.

  • The user can remove a selected price code when needed. The price will default to the unit or volume price, whichever is appropriate, and the user can see the volume price options.

Billing and Shipping Account Numbers

Billing and Shipping Account Numbers

  • The Manufacturers tab now supports Bill To and Ship To account numbers.

  • These values are now passed from the web app into the corresponding mtPro fields per shipping location.

  • When a user has permission to update the agreement record, the fields are editable.

  • Updates are reflected in both the web app and mtPro.

  • The account number appears on the sales order.

  • The billing and shipping account numbers now flow between mtPro and the web app

  • You will need to run a sync to obtain the latest data from the cloud.

  • Exiting after adding or updating account numbers on mtPro will sync the updates to the cloud.

 

Default Payment Terms

Enhancement What it Adds
Default Payment Terms

  • Manufacturer Defaults now supports a saved Default Payment Term per shipping location.

  • If a payment term record already exists on the web for the shipping location, it is shown automatically.

  • If a payment term not set by the manufacturer is saved as the default for the customer via the web app (for example, the default payment term saved on the web is Net 30, but the manufacturer does not currently accept Net 30), the mtPro user will see the default payment term as blank. This is because mtPro only allows the manufacturer-approved payment terms to be passed in.

  • If there is is not a saved default Payment Term, you will see an option to "Create Configuration". Only Payment Terms set by the manufacturer will be able to set as the default.

  • Changes are synced between mtPro and the web app.

Default Shipping Method

  • If a shipping method record already exists, it is shown automatically.
  • If there is not a default shipping method set, you will see an option to "Create Configuration". Only shipping terms set by the manufacturer will be able to set as the default.
  • Changes are synced between mtPro and the web app.

Permissions and Editing Behavior

Not every user can change Manufacturer Defaults. Access is based on the user’s role permissions in the web app.

  • All users can view the defaults as outlined above.

  • Only users with the appropriate permissions can add new records or edit existing ones.

Price Code Enhancements

The pricing updates make price code behavior more visible and more predictable for order writers. The system now uses the same data from the web app and gives users item-level price code selection during order entry.

Pricing rules and precedence

Price codes are both handled automatically, but can be edited removed or changed.

Limitations and Things to Know

  • These features are not supported on iPadOS 16. Only iPadOS 17 and above are supported
  • Updating defaults after an order is written and finished will not automatically change the sales order.
  • If another Price Code is added to the retailer after the order is finalized, the price code on the order will remain unchanged. You will see the newly updated Price Code for informational purposed, but the original Price Code will remain in effect on the sales order.
  • If the existing order is pending, and the default Price Code is updated, finishing the order pulls the latest Price Code update and applies it to the sales order.
  • The SCS price takes priority when price code and volume pricing are present. If the SCS price is not set, then the price code is applied.
  • Only one price code can be selected as a default at a time.
  • This update replaces the old “use best pricing” setting. The new pricing logic will now apply. See above for example scenarios.
