There are many factors that can contribute to an iPad losing battery life. Below are the top 4 steps you can take to extend battery life.
1. Establish a strong internet connection. If your Wi-Fi connection is not strong, your iPad will disconnect and reconnect until it establishes a strong connection. This process will drain your battery much quicker than if it had a strong consistent connection.
At market, your iPad may continue to switch between the Wi-Fi provided by the market center, and the Wi-Fi of the showroom depending on where in the Showroom you are. It is a good idea to forget any market Wi-Fi connections your iPad may have remembered.
Play for iPad does not require the internet to write orders, but it is recommended because the order data is regularly saved to the Brandwise cloud. If you are without an internet connection on the Road, make sure to temporarily turn off your Wi-Fi connection so your iPad does not continually look for a signal.
2. Ensure you have the latest version of iOS installed on your device. Open the Settings on your iPad and tap Software Update to confirm you are up to date:
3.0 Adjust your settings to conserve your battery life.
- Lower your screen brightness, within reason, by adjusting Display & Brightness in your Settings:
- Make sure the Auto-Lock option is set to a time limit, and not set to Never as shown above. Setting this to Never will quickly drain your battery!
