MarketTime offers the ability to upload a PDF catalog and through OCR technology, automatically link items in the catalog with items you've uploaded into MarketTime for a new ordering experience.
This feature is designed to be used after items have been imported via Excel into MarketTime.
This feature now support items from multiple Manufacturers within the same file!

Uploading a Digital Catalog
To upload a digital catalog, navigate to the Documents tab within the desired Manufacturer.
Click on Publish Digital Catalogs to begin.
Clicking on Choose a PDF file in the resulting window will allow you to browse for your desired file.
Once selected, the catalog will appear, and you will be presented with the next steps.
Using OCR to automatically tag items
NOTE: The OCR feature only scans for the product's Item Number at this time. UPCs, Descriptions, and Images will not be used to tag an item.
For best coverage of automatic OCR tagging, we recommend the following:
- Black text over a white background.
- High-quality, legible fonts.
- No obstructions of the Item Numbers.
- Ensuring the catalog contains Item Numbers that exactly match what products have been imported into MarketTime (e.g. an Item Number of PE-1001 will not be tagged if the product you've uploaded is 1001).
1. Click on the OCR icon to have the system automatically match possible items found in the PDF file.
The OCR button will only tag items for the Manufacturer you're uploading this file under. Additional Manufacturer's items may be manually selected.

2. Manually tag any remaining items or add any additional URL links as desired.
This can be done with Rectangle Mode found at the top of the screen:
Simply highlight the area of any missing item or promotional image you wish to tag a specific item for:
This process can be repeated for all items on the document, including items that may exist for other Manufacturers. You can use the Manufacturer filter to do so!
3. Click SAVE in the top right corner to publish the digital catalog!
Additional editing features may be found at the top of the screen.
Placing an order with a Digital Catalog
As with other Line Item Orders, begin by clicking on a New Order button in MarketTime, and selecting your customer.
Once at the Basket screen, you will see a Digital Catalogs tab.
This tab works in conjunction with the traditional Basket and Search Items tabs, and includes a Manufacturer filter.
Click on the desired catalog to begin shopping.
While shopping with the digital catalog, simply click on the item number or selected area to bring up additional information about the item, choose your quantity, and add it to your basket!
The basket icon in the top right corner will allow you to keep track of what's been added to the basket:
Closing the catalog still allows access to the traditional ordering methods using the Basket and Search Items tabs as well.
