The Email Blast feature offers a way to compile a list of your customer's emails for marketing or contact purposes.
What you'll learn
- How to use the Email Blast feature to obtain lists of emails of your customers
- How to export a set list of customer emails into a draft within Outlook
Found both on the Customers screen and under the Manufacturer's Quick Report, you may select your desired customers to retrieve their email addresses, or open a draft in your computer's default email program.
Selecting Customers for Email Blast
Begin by navigating to the Customers screen.
Here, you will start by selecting a Salesperson (1), then searching for (2) and selecting (3)your desired customers.
Once you've chosen your desired customers, use the Email Blast button to retrieve the email list of the selected customers.
The resulting popup may be copied or edited to manually add email addresses as well.
Each "block" has a maximum of 2000 characters. For email lists that are longer than this, additional "blocks" are created and can be copy/pasted, or exported to Outlook as a draft with the Send Message button.
Selecting Customers by Manufacturer
To select customers that have order history with a particular Manufacturer, begin by navigating to the Manufacturers screen, and clicking the Quick Report of the desired Manufacturer.
In the resulting popup, you will see data for the last calendar year, and the customer sales info for this Manufacturer.
To toggle between one calendar year and all time, use the Show All toggle at the top of the report.
Much like the Customers screen, you may select your desired customers (1), then click the Email Blast button (2) to retrieve the email list of the selected customers.
Sending Email Blast to Outlook (or default mail program)
Once you've followed the steps above to search for and select the desired customers, the Send Message button will open a draft within Outlook with the email addresses within that field all BCC'd in a blank email to use as needed.
MarketTime only offers the ability to generate drafts within Outlook, provided the program is properly installed on your computer. MarketTime does not support Outlook or any problems that may arise between your browser and Outlook.
