Adding a Manufacturer
Are you looking for MarketTime information to send to a new Manufacturer? This page has email copy you can use, and a link to information about setting up their account, Order Delivery product options, payment processing options, and more. Click HERE for more details.To add a new Manufacturer, use the New button found on the Manufacturers screen:
When adding a new Manufacturer, enter in their name or Manufacturer ID (provided to you by the Manufacturer) into the Search field.
If the Manufacturer you're adding is already a member of MarketTime, they may appear as an option to select when searching. MarketTime recommends reaching out to your Manufacturers to see if they already have an account, and can provide you with their Manufacturer ID.
Choosing that entry will allow you to add them to your Manufacturers, which will then send a request to that Manufacturer to approve. Some information will not be editable as it's managed by that Manufacturer.
If adding a Manufacturer that does not use MarketTime, click the Add... button to add them manually.
General
Start by entering in the Manufacturer's basic information.
Some of this information will not be editable if adding a Manufacturer that already uses MarketTime.
Contact
Here you will add the first Contact for the Manufacturer if adding manually. If the Manufacturer is already using the Manufacturer Portal, you will be unable to edit this screen, as they will have already entered in a Contact.
Defaults
This will allow you to choose defaults for this Manufacturer such as Minimum Order Amount, Commission Percentage, and accepted Payment Terms. Again, if this Manufacturer is already using the RepTime Portal, much of this information will be not be editable.
Advanced
This final screen will have you assign the Manufacturer to Territories and/or Salespeople. This information can be updated/edited at a later time as well.
Once complete, click Finish, and the Manufacturer will be added to your list of Manufacturers.
If adding a Manufacturer that is already a member of MarketTime, you will see a "Not Approved" icon next to the newly-created manufacturer. This will disappear when the Manufacturer has logged in and approved your request.
