Seasonal Sold Outs - communicating availability
Rep here...I'm wondering what the best way would be for a manufacturer to mark an item as SOLD OUT for the season so retailers don't add to their B2B carts, or if I'm entering the order, I could miss QOH=0 or if doing a Quick Import where the screen view after import doesn't show the quantity field. BTW @MT, can we get the In Stock field to show in the Basket View -- if we Quick Import we can't see stock quantities. It's only in Search view which doesn't help us know quantities after a Quick import.
A lot of back and forth with the retailer about sold outs at a pivotal time seems inefficient (I write this in December where everything is of great urgency!) -- how can an item be marked as "sold out for the season" so it does not add to the order?
It's not technically discontinued, which has been a suggestion MT support made so item isn't order-able; I don't think this works that great (retailer could mark as disco'd in their POS, losing all history).
Seems like there should be another way to mark inventory? Didn't BW have an Active and Inactive option? Honestly, the one I like the best is some manufacturers will add "Sold Out" to beginning of the Description. This is GREAT!
