Manufacturer Order Status Email Notifications -- Only Send Updates for Transmitted Orders
Support Ticket #334926
It came to our attention that Manufactuers are receiving Agency Order status updates to orders that are NOT Transmitted
For example, if you have a Quote Order than change the status to Cancelled--the Manufacturer is emailed a Cancelled Order Notification for an order they didn't recieve nor did they even know it existed (why? I do not understand this logic)
This is causing alot of confusion because Manufacturers receive Cancelled Status updates, but they can't locate an order. It is also causing uncessary time spent between Manufactuers, Vendors and Reps communcating and dipsuting these emails they receive since they have to investigate when they go looking for an order that wasn't even Transmitted. Manufactuers are also wasiting time as they are looking for orders to update that weren't even transmitted, making them think they are missing orders or that orders did not get Transmitted.
The Manufacturer should NOT receive an order status change for an order that was never Transmitted.

Agree. Why are we clogging up the process with all this nonsense. We don’t 900 repetitive order statuses either.

Put me down as a get rid of it vote. They only need to see transmitted orders

I submitted a REQUEST FOR CHANGE about this issue. It is Ticket# 322434.
As I explained in my request, I would like the option to send (or not send) a cancellation notice to the manufacturer for orders with a TRANSMITTED manufacturer order status. MT provides an option to notify the retailer, so why can't the manufacturer (and salesperson) be included?
Orders with manufacturer status of NOT TRANSMITTED should not send a cancellation notice to the manufacturer. This is causing unnecessary confusion and wasting our valuable time and that of manufacturers. Manufacturers are hunting for orders they never got or want to know why it wasn't sent in the first place.

Agree with above, we need to have COMPLETE CONTROL over who receives emails -- vendor/customer/rep etc. This change was requested by Katie and I in September 2024 We were told it was under review because of the number of complaints at that time.
And here we are five months later with no resolution

I agree. There are a lot of emails that need to stop being sent (especially to customers) but this is top of the list. Vendors receiving these updates is causing a lot of confusion and more emails back and forth.

I agree with this. We at least should have a toggle on the same order setting page right beside the toggle to not allow vendors to see direct orders and summary orders. Sometimes, cancelled orders can be a showroom inventory scan never meant to be shared as an order to a vendor.

For multiple reasons YES I AGREE.
