Manufacturer Auto Close % and Advanced Tab Updates
We've added a new Manufacturer Auto Close % field to the manufacturer Advanced tab, giving you the ability to set commission auto-close thresholds on a per-manufacturer basis. At the same time, the Advanced tab has been reorganized into clear, logical sections and cleaned up by removing several outdated fields.
What's New & Why We Made This Change
Previously, commission auto-close rules were configured only at the Rep Group level, meaning every manufacturer under your Rep Group shared the same threshold. The new Manufacturer Auto Close % field lets you tailor that threshold per manufacturer to match individual agreements and payout workflows.
While adding this feature, we also modernized the Advanced tab layout to make it easier to find what you need and removed legacy fields that were no longer in use.
How to Get There
- Log in as a Rep Group Admin.
- Navigate to Manufacturers in the left menu.
- Select the manufacturer you want to configure.
- Open the Advanced tab.
Setting the Manufacturer Auto Close %
- In the Advanced tab, locate the Commissions section.
- Enter your desired percentage in the Manufacturer Auto Close % field.
- Hover over the tool tip icon next to the field for guidance on how this value interacts with your Rep Group level settings.
- Click Save.
MarketTime's commission closing logic will now evaluate this manufacturer-specific percentage threshold when processing orders for that manufacturer.
How the 100% Default Works
If you leave Manufacturer Auto Close % at 100%, MarketTime will still evaluate your Rep Group based Auto Close % and threshold as usual. The manufacturer-level setting only overrides the Rep Group default when you enter a different value.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does setting a Manufacturer Auto Close % override my Rep Group level settings?
Only when the value differs from 100%. If you set a specific percentage for a manufacturer, MarketTime uses that value instead of the Rep Group default when closing commissions for that manufacturer's orders.
What happens to my existing commission rules?
Nothing changes for manufacturers where you don't set a value. Your Rep Group level Auto Close % and $ thresholds continue to apply as they always have.
Do I need to update every manufacturer?
No. Only configure a manufacturer-specific percentage when you need a threshold that differs from your Rep Group default. Manufacturers without a value set will continue using the Rep Group level rules.
