Entering in Checks is usually the first step in the Invoice/Commissioning process in MarketTime. The Check Log allows you to manage these checks.

The Check Log is found by clicking Check Log under Order Payments in the Navigation Menu.

Adding a Check
To add a new check, use the Add Check button.
Here you will fill out all required information (marked with an asterisk), clicking Save Check will save the check.
Editing an existing Check
If a check needs to be edited, you may do so using the "pencil" icon next to the desired check:
If a check had previously been BALANACED using the Balance Checks feature, you may un-balance it to edit as needed by updating the status of the check from BALANCED to OPEN:
Checks may be edited up until they've been marked as COMPLETE via the Pay Salespeople process.
Viewing Invoices attached to a Check
To view invoices associated with a Check, simply click on the "eyeball" icon to the right of any check:
The resulting information may be printed or exported into a PDF or CSV file using the corresponding options:
Deleting an existing Check
In instances where you may need to remove a check from MarketTime, the corresponding "trashcan" icon next to each check will allow you to do so.
Checks may only be deleted until they've been marked as BALANCED. Deleting a check with invoices will also deleted all invoices associated with that check.
Balancing a Check
One of the last steps of the Order Payment process is balancing the checks you've posted Invoices and Commissions for.
This is done on the Check Log screen:
While on this screen, use the Balance Checks button to begin:
Within the resulting window, you will see all OPEN checks, including any that may be balanced.
Only checks with no outstanding balance or difference may be balanced.
Checks eligible for balancing will have the Approve button available for you to click.
To balance multiple eligible Checks, you may select the desired checks and use the Balanced Selected button at the top of the window.
Once balanced, the check will have it's status updated in the Check Log, and it may no longer be deleted.
