During show season an Agency may need Admins, Salespeople, Temporary Help, and Manufacturers to write orders in the showroom. This article provides information on how to set up and manage users writing with a MarketTime Pro (mtPro) account.
Overview of Available MarketTime Order Writing Tools
Creating a MarketTime Account
Regardless of which order writing tool will be used, each order writer will need a MarketTime account.
To add a new Salesperson, (Temp) Salesperson, or (Temp Manufacturer) Salesperson, go to the Salesperson section in the left-hand navigation of your Agency account and use the New button found on the Browse Salespeople screen.
Temporary Users
The video below outlines how to set up a temp S ID and connected user, for the purposes of getting a Pro license set up.
Example: If Joe is the Admin at Agency X and is in charge of overseeing all temporary order writing accounts, Joe can create multiple temp accounts from his own email address joe@agencyx.com by adding a "+1", "+2", "+3" etc. between his name and "@" sign.Joe can then approve and manage each account from his email address. Here's how the accounts would look after Joe chose and entered the preferred username and email address for each temp account:Username: Joe Admin; Email: joe@agencyx.comUsername: TempUser1; Email: joe+1@agencyx.comUsername: TempUser2; Email: joe+2@agencyx.comUsername: TempUser3; Email: joe+3@agencyx.com
When finished with the initial setup, click Finish
The Salesperson (or Temp Salesperson or Order Writing Mfr) will be added to your Salesperson list, and they (or you) will receive an email invite to create their Username/Password.
Below is an example of the email the person receives. It will come from portal@markettime.com

Video Overview
Managing Licenses
Go to "Settings" in the left-hand navigation of your apps.markettime.com account, and then scroll to "MarketTime Pro"
The next screen will show you your available and assigned MarketTime Pro licenses - this should match the number of licenses your company was allocated. In the screenshot below, you can see 6 assigned licenses.
Understanding the Screen
License (1) - The unique ID assigned to each license. This information may be needed when troubleshooting issues with Support.
App Version (2) - The version of the MarketTime Pro app for this user/device.
OS Version (3) - The iPadOS version of the device the user is attached to.
Show Mode (4) - Enabling this option will allow this user to access ALL Manufacturer and Customer data within your company on the MarketTime Pro app.
Manufacturer License (5) - Enabling this option will cause the user to ONLY see Manufacturers that have been directly assigned to them from the Manufacturers tab within the Salesperson record associated with the license. This is most often used by Agencies that have Manufacturers write orders during market. In this scenario, the Manufacturer has their own Salesperson ID to use for MarketTime Pro but the Manufacturer Salesperson is limited to writing orders for their Brand only.
User Assigned (6) - This shows who is assigned to the license.
Salespeople - Users who have a Salesperson ID will have two names appear in this field. Note most Agencies set up Agency Salespeople, Temp Salespeople, and Manufacturers writing their Brand for the Agency during a show, with a Salesperson User account. You can create an Admin account for one of these users instead, but by default, an Admin account will be able to see more information across the Agency.
(1) - The name of the Salesperson Record. This is the same name that is found on the Salespeople screen.
(2) - The user's name. The name that was entered when creating a MarketTime Salesperson account
Admin Users - Those who are Admin users within your company will have a single name appear in this field.
The user's name. The name that was entered when creating a MarketTime Admin account
Default Order Code (7) - This is the Order Code you may set this license to for ALL orders written within MarketTime Pro.
Last Sync Date(8) - The last time and date the user synced their app.
Device ID (9) - The unique ID of the device associated with the license. May be needed when troubleshooting issues with Support.
Edit Icon (10)- This icon is used to edit the license to assign/unassign users and Order Codes.
Request Licenses (11) - This button is used to request additional MarketTime Pro licenses from MarketTime. Note that billing may be adjusted accordingly based on your contract. For more information about license count, reach out to billing@markettime.com
Assigning or Editing User Licenses
Begin by using the Edit icon next to a license. In the screenshot below, none of the licenses have been assigned to a user yet.
You'll now be able to assign a User (1) and default Order Code (2) for this license:
As noted above, the names you see in this drop-down may differ depending on if they're a Salesperson (two names) or Admin user (a single name).
NOTE: a license can not be assigned to an empty record. If you are not seeing a Salesperson or Admin user in the drop-down but are confident that they have a MarketTime Salesperson or Admin account set up and tied to your Agency, please contact Support at support@markettime.com to investigate further.
When finished, be sure to click the green checkbox to confirm your selections.
Show Mode Toggle
To enable or disable Show Mode, simply toggle the option next to the desired license(s).
When Show Mode is enabled, the user associated with the license can see ALL Customers and Manufacturers within your Sales Agency. As the name suggests, this is typically reserved for use during tradeshows to allow users access to out-of-territory data to write orders.
FAQs
Seeing All Customers Even in "Road Mode"
NOTE: if a user can see all customers within your Sales Agency in Road Mode, review the "Billing & Payment" settings in the dropdown menu under your name in the top right corner of your screen.
- From the dropdown, click "Billing and Payments"
- Review the Salesperson records under the "Available Users" tab to ensure that your salespeople have the proper configuration in the "Show all Customers" and "Show all Manufacturers" columns
- Toggle on/off as appropriate
User Account Permissions
To ensure that user permissions set by your Agency in the Web Portal (https:/apps.markettime.com) flow into the MarketTime Pro app, the following must be done:
- Each MarketTime Pro order writer (or Agency Admin) must log into the Web Portal and update their User Settings. This includes the ability to add new customers within the App. We recommend updating the Default Order Code as well. Note: Temporary Salespeople will also be listed in the Salesperson section under whatever name you have assigned: i.e. "TempSalesperson1" User settings can be adjusted in apps.markettime for Temporary Salespeople as well
- After any edits are made, the User must complete a sync on their MarketTime Pro app for the edits to take effect.
Creating "Show Mode" Divisions and/or Territories?
If the Order Writer should only have access to certain Manufacturers in "Show Mode," you may need to create "Show Mode" Division(s).
Example Scenario: Your Agency represents certain Manufacturers on the road but an abridged list in the showroom. You may need to create a "Show Mode" Division/list of Manufacturers that can be assigned to any Salespeople or Temporary Salespeople writing in the showroom.
How to Assign a New Division:
Within each Salesperson, navigate to the Order Settings tab, and add the Division that contains all Manufacturers you wish for this user in "Show Mode" to access.
Next, move to the Manufacturers tab and assign the relevant Manufacturers contained within that "Show Mode" Division you created.

Multiple Users per Device
MarketTime Pro does not support multiple users on the same device. Only one user per iPad can be logged into MarketTime Pro. E.g., for an iPad used during a show by temps, only one license can be used on each iPad. For more information, click HERE
